Presentation by PPAF on School Improvement Program to the MD
Following the signing of MoU between MPCL and PPAF (Dated: September 19th, 2016) for the launch of “School Improvement Program” in Baluchistan, representatives of PPAF gave a detailed presentation regarding the progress and achievements on the ongoing projects. The meeting was held on Wednesday, January 4th, 2017 at MPCL Head Office, presided by Lt Gen Nadeem Ahmed (Retd), Managing Director, Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL). Below mentioned are the key highlights of the partnership:
PPAF & Tele-Taleem
i. Rehabilitation of GGHS, Harnai: Under the School Improvement Program, Rehabilitation of Government Girls High School (GGHS), Harnai was approved with a budget of Rs. 5.4 million. Under this project, repair/renovation of the existing building was carried out, along with the provision of furniture, computers, sewing machines, etc. Furthermore, the entire school has been shifted on solar panels for an uninterrupted supply of power during school hours.
ii. Tele Taleem (T2): Tele-Taleem (a digital distant learning initiative) is also operational at GGHS, Harnai. Through this initiative, teachers will be provided online / distant trainings (through satellite internet) and students of classes 6th, 7th and 8th will be taught Maths, Science and English subjects through direct learning / teaching component of the program.
