Project on Improving Operational Efficiency and Performance of MPCL
Soon after dismantling of Mari GPA, several initiatives were undertaken to transform MPCL into a target-driven, performance based and vibrant Company; so that the Company is able to take full advantage of the opportunities afforded by dismantling and at the same time successfully mitigate the associated risks. A major initiative was hiring the services of M/s Renoir Global, world renowned management consultants to evaluate MPCL’s key business processes for operational efficiency and performance. Through a handholding approach over 30 weeks, the Consultants reviewed MPCL’s Management Control Practices, Structure, People and Processes and recommended changes to bring about improvements in these areas.
The Project was successfully concluded on November 19, 2015. Removal of bottlenecks in existing processes and introduction of new ones is not only helping in containing operating costs but also improving efficiency and effectiveness of overall operations.
