Brig Aftab Ahmed Qureshi (Retd) is a graduate of Command & Staff College Quetta and National Defence University, Islamabad. He is a civil engineer and holds Masters Degree in Engineering Management from UET, Taxila. He carries with him eminent experience of over 30 years of serving on key positions in Pak Army. His employment in the military includes vital command, staff and instructional appointments, as well as senior project management positions. Has distinctively served on important command and staff appointments in Infantry Brigade, Infantry Division, and Military Operations Directorate. Served in operational areas of Waziristan/ FATA, in almost all ranks and made significant contributions. Successfully accomplished iconic projects of national importance in North and South Waziristan, as well as IDPs relief operations. In recognition of his brilliant performance, he was awarded COAS Commendation and Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military). Moreover, Brig Aftab also has to his credit the raising/ establishment of a technology university – “NUTECH” at Islamabad, as the founding Project Director. As DG Projects in HQ ERRA (PM Office-Public) he made substantial contributions towards the completion of organization’s portfolio.
During the last one year at MPCL as the Head of Projects Dept, Brig Aftab has brought phenomenal enhancements in the functioning of his Dept contributing to the organizational development, and in the planning and execution of civil projects in the field as well as at all locations of MPCL. Has meaningfully transformed the Projects Team to enhance their capacity and shape it as an efficient and highly productive organization. Optimized on the cost, timely delivery and quality of projects, in highly challenging difficult terrain and security sensitive locations, in the areas of operations of MPCL. With his commitment and dedication, he has made remarkable contributions towards the accomplishment of organizational goals and objectives, in the light of vision of the senior leadership.
