Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
In line with the Prime Minister’s Clean and Green Pakistan Campaign, MPCL is aggressively engaged in tree plantation drives in and around its areas of operations. MPCL is operating in the most challenging and arid terrains in Balochistan and Sindh, where environmental conservation is of paramount importance.
MPCL collaborated with CDA to develop the largest Miyawaki Forest in Islamabad in Sector H-12 on Srinagar Highway. Over 20,000 trees of indigenous species have been planted and survival rate is over 90%. Moreover, 25,000 fruit trees have also been planted in Sector G -12 on Srinagar Highway.
Under the Solarization Program “Roshan Ehad”, company has initiated 101 projects in its operational areas including 76 RO/Filtration Plants, 9 Educational institutes, 8 Dispensaries, Gurdawara Baba Nanak Shah Daharki, Solar street lights at multiple locations , Public Park at Daharki and Mirpur Mathelo, District Jail Ghotki, District Administration Offices Ghotki, Institute of Religious Education Mirpur Mathelo and Public Library Ghotki.
Under this project, collaboration with Pakistan Red Crescent for Solarization of Blood Donor Centre in Islamabad has been carried too.
MPCL has collaborated with PRCS for Soalrization of Regional Blood Donor Centre in Islamabad, with an aim to economize the operational cost of PRCS and also reduce dependency of conventional electricity.
