To revive and promote the National Sport, MPCL has established and manages its own professional hockey team, which serves as a talent pool for the Pakistan National Hockey Team. MPCL hockey team has participated and won various national hockey tournaments conducted by the PHF and other organizing bodies.
Pakistan Hockey Federation has Commissioned and included “Mari Petroleum Azadi Cup” amongst 16 x All Pakistan Hockey Cup Tournament every year.
The achievements of the Mari Hockey Team include:
MPCL has sponsored significant sports events like the 1st Azadi Hockey Tournament at Lt Gen Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmed Hockey Stadium at Ayub Park in Rawalpindi, the 3rd Edition of the Mega Balochistan International Squash League in Quetta, the Tribal Cricket League in Kohat, the Al-Barq Golf Championship in Mangla Cantt, the All Pakistan Golf Championship and sponsorship of the Pakistan WUSHU Federation (International Federation for Kung-Fu) for its events in Quetta.
