Industry Academia Collaboration
Collaboration between companies and the academia world has always been an important but a complex subject. By being out of touch with a university, its students and young professionals, companies become less attractive as prospective employers and often find it more challenging to recruit fresh graduates. To bridge this gap between Industry and Academia, MPCL has introduced the same as an important tool to hire trainees.

Training & Development
Employees are nominated on an annual basis for local/foreign training courses. This is followed by an evaluation vis-a-vis value addition made in the functioning of the current system.

Management Trainee Programme
The Company encourages new talent to work through their “Management Trainee Programme”. Each year fresh graduates are selected on a merit basis. They are trained, developed and exposed to innovative challenges thus equipping them with the relevant skills to make them future assets of the organization.
MPCL offers internship opportunities for Graduate and Post-graduate university students every year. This enables students from diverse academic backgrounds to help strengthen their professional skills and interpersonal relationships; through practical work assignments in a professional environment. A total of 127 Interns were finalized for the Mari Internship Programme this year. The students were selected and shortlisted from the top HEC certified/recognized Universities of Pakistan. In order to provide an engaging medium for the students and to make the internship programme more motivational, the Best Intern Award was introduced in the year 2016-17.
